B & B Juno (formerly known as Casa Carinho B and B), Kyoto
B & B Juno (formerly known as Casa Carinho B and B) is a small, luxurious bed & breakfast located near the Silver Pavilion/Path of Philosophy area, the heart Kyoto's most popular cultural/tourist zone. Our home is also convenient for access to the Golden Pavilion (20 min. by bus), Arashiyama (40 min. by bus and then train), Gion geisha district (20 min. by bus) & downtown (20 min. by bus). Kyoto JR Kyoto Station (the city's main train station) is 30-40 min. away by bus.
B & B Juno (formerly known as Casa Carinho B and B) is located in a 70-year-old, wall-enclosed Japanese compound, facing the lushly forested north side of Mount Yoshida, just east of Kyoto University. We offer friendly service, privacy, lots of space, and the chance for foreign visitors to experience the beauty and charm of traditional Japanese living. AND WE HAVE A FREE HIGH-SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET IN THE HOUSE (If you do not bring your computer, there is an internet cafe minutes away).
Location
We are a 30-40 min. bus ride from JR Kyoto Station (20 min. by taxi; Yen 1,800) in what is Kyoto's most popular tourist destination zone (east side). We are located in an old traditional neighborhood a short walk from the world-famous Path of Philosophy and Ginkaku-ji Temple (The Silver Pavilion). There is a beautiful, largely forest-covered walking area next to the B & B, leading right into mysterious and always quiet Mount Yoshida (and on to the Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple culture zone). Yoshidayama is home to well-preserved traditional neighborhoods, and Shinnyodo Temple and Kurodani Temple (both perfect for sunrise or sunset walking).
Area Advantages
Main bus routes, high-speed internet cafes, post offices, and a 24-hr convenience store are just minutes away from the house! Kyoto University is around the corner, so there are all kinds of great restaurants and cafes just out the door. International, lively, relaxing Carinho cafe (open 11:00-20:00; closed Wed.), is a 2-min. walk from your room. What more could you ask for?
